Cameron Maybin had his best game of his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A El Paso.

The center fielder, who could be recalled by the Padres by the end of their current 10-game road trip, was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.

Third baseman-shortstop Brooks Conrad also had a big game with the Chihuahuas, going 4-for-5 with two home runs and a double. He is now hitting .323 with four homers.

The Chihuahuas scored nine runs Tuesday in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, they lost by 12 runs as Las Vegas scored 21 runs on 21 hits.

Right-handed starter Ruben Mejia (0-1, 189.00 ERA) allowed seven runs on four hits and three walks in just one-third of an inning in his Triple-A debut. Right-hander Tim Sexton (8.10 ERA) allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk in two innings. Outfielder Jeff Francouer pitched an inning for a second straight game.

Pinch-hitter Jason Lane hit a two-run homer for El Paso, which fell to 7-12. Catcher Adam Moore was 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI. Outfielder Rico Noel was 2-for-6.

ON THE MOVE: With Ryan Jackson out indefinitely with a wrist injury, the Padres acquired infielder Tyler Greene from the Atlanta Braves for a player to be named later. Greene will join Triple-A El Paso. Greene, 30, the first-round pick (30th overall) of the Cardinals in the 2005 draft, has a career .224 average with 17 homers and 61 RBIs in 288 major league games.

Around the Farm: 

DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (7-10): FRISCO 7, Missions 5 – Right-handed starter Jesse Hahn (1.69 ERA) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over three innings. RHP John Hussey (4.91 ERA) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk in 2 2/3 innings. RHP Luis De La Cruz (0-2, 1.69 ERA) suffered a blown save and took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits in 1 1/3 innings. CF Travis Jankowski  was 2-for-3 with two steals and two runs scored. RF Rymer Liriano was 2-for-3 with a triple, a steal and a RBI.

SINGLE-A (high) LAKE ELSINORE  (10-9): STOCKTON 6, Storm 2 – RF Hunter Renfroe, the Padres first-round pick last June, hit his sixth homer, a two-run shot. C John Nester was 2-for-3 with a double. Starting RHP Bryan Verbitsky (0-1, 5.40 ERA) allowed two runs on three hits and six walks in 3 1/3 innings and RHP Matt Shepherd (8.53 ERA) allowed four runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings. But two other Storm relievers continued to put up exceptional numbers. LHP Brandon Alger (1.04 ERA) struck out two in a perfect inning and RHP Ben Paullus lowered his ERA to 0.93, allowing a hit with a strikeout in a scoreless inning.

SINGLE-A (low) FORT WAYNE (7-10): GREAT LAKES 11, TinCaps 8 – LF Henry Charles was 3-for-4 with a RBI. C Dane Phillips (.409) was 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. 3B Dustin Peterson homered for the TinCaps. SS Franchy Cordero was 2-for-4 with a triple and a RBI. 2B Josh VanMeter went 2-for-5. Starting RHP Adrian De Horta (5.79 ERA) came off the disabled list and gave up three runs on four hits and three walks against five strikeouts in three innings. RHP Kyle Lloyd (2.35 ERA) allowed two hits and a walk with four strikeouts in three innings of relief.
