Roster move: Cameron up

The Padres swapped out relievers on Tuesday, calling up RHP Kevin Cameron from Triple-A Portland and sending RHP Enrique Gonzlalez to Portland outright. Gonzalez was exposed to waivers but went unclaimed, allowing the Padres to send him down.

Gonzalez, 25, was 1-0 with a 10.80 ERA in four Major League appearances. Cameron, meanwhile, had a 1.42 ERA in his four minor league outings.

Cameron, 28, went from Rule 5 long shot to a productive member of the Padres bullpen in 2007. He was 2-0 with a 2.79 ERA in 48 games while spending the entire season with the Padres.
