Peavy nominated for an ESPY

It's still 2007 in ESPY-land, so Padres RHP Jake Peavy still can collect awards for his amazing season.

He is among five players nominated for an ESPY for Best Baseball Player. His stiff competition: Alex Rodriguez, Josh Beckett, Jimmy Rollins and C.C. Sabathia.

Voting for the ESPN-created awards show continues at ESPN.com through July 12. The show airs July 20.
