Two of the Padres later additions to their Arizona Fall League consignment have produced the best results heading into the final week of the season.

Right-handed starter Reggie Lawson has turned in two strong performances while catcher Logan Driscoll, one of two players from the 2019 draft playing in the AFL, is 6-for-13 with two home runs in three starts.

Lawson, the Padres’ 21st-ranked prospect, worked four scoreless innings in his first start this past week, allowing one hit and one walk with six strikeouts. In two AFL appearances with the Peoria Javelinas, the 22-year-old Lawson has allowed one run on three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. He has a 1.29 earned run average, a .125 opponents batting average and a 0.71 WHIP.

Driscoll is 6-for-13 with two homers, three RBIs and four runs scored.

Lawson was the 71st overall pick of the 2016 draft that also produced Cal Quantrill, Eric Lauer and Joey Lucchesi. Driscoll was the 73rd overall pick this past June.

The Arizona Fall League concludes Friday (Oct. 25).

Middle infielder Owen Miller (.161) was 1-for-4 with a run scored Monday night to end a 0-for-18 streak. Third baseman Hudson Potts (.167) is hitless in his past 12 at-bats in the AFL.

Right-hander Elliot Ashbeck was the only other Padres pitching prospect to see action the past five days. He allowed two runs on four hits with no walks and four strikeouts in two innings Monday night. He has a 2.92 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP and a .163 OBA with 13 strikeouts in 12 1/3 innings.

Left fielder Josh Naylor, 22, is hitting .400 (10-for-25) with a homer and four RBIs for Escogido in the Dominican Republic Winter League after going 3-for-11 with a run scored this past week.

Second baseman Ivan Castillo, 24, was 6-for-14 with a double, a walk, four RBIs and four runs scored for Escogido this past week to raise his batting average to .344. Castillo won the batting race in the Double-A Texas League with a .313 mark for league champion Amarillo.

Outfielder Rodrigo Orozco, who the Padres acquired from Toronto on his 24th birthday last April 2 in a trade for Socrates Brito, was 4-for-15 with a homer for Culiacan in the Mexican Pacific League this past week to raise his batting average to .316.

Right-hander Trevor Megill has given up three runs on six hits and three walks with eight strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings for Mexicali.
