The Friars return home on Friday to kick off the final homestand of the first-half of the season before taking a 10-game road trip that will finish up just before the 2015 All-Star Game in Cincinnati. Before embarking on that trip, however, the Padres have a bevy of promotions and events that fans won’t want to miss this weekend at Petco Park.

This Padres’ sixth homestand of the year includes the return of fan favorite Padres Beerfest, which will commence during the series opener with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, and of course Baseball Night in San Diego, Military Appreciation Sunday and Way Back Wednesday during the Mariner’s series to close out the six-day, five-game homestand.

Here’s a look at some of the highlights and happenings from the upcoming homestand:

Friday, June 26th vs. Diamondbacks at 7:10pm Padres BeerFest Friday marks the return of Padres BeerFest, presented by Southwest Airlines. All fans in attendance will have a chance to head to the Park-at-the-Park to enjoy a wide selection of craft beers from local and national breweries for $5 each, which can be purchased with Friar Funds. Gates to the park will open at 5:00pm for first pour. Given the recent popularity of the event in the past fans are encouraged to arrive early as certain beers are sure to go quickly. Victor Espinosa, winner of the 2015 Triple Crown and jockey of prized racing horse American Pharaoh, will also be on hand Friday to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Saturday, June 27th vs. Diamondbacks at 7:10pm — Baseball Night in San Diego Saturdays at Petco Park are always Baseball Night in San Diego, where all fans in attendance will receive a premium giveaway item as they walk through the gates. This Saturday, fans will have a chance to get their very own Padres Beach Towel, presented by National University. Please note that Saturday’s game will start at 7:10pm instead of the typical 5:40pm early start time.

Sunday, June 28th vs. Diamondbacks at 1:10pm U.S. Navy Appreciation Day — On Sunday, the Padres will celebrate another Military Appreciation Sunday with this weekends honors going to the U.S. Navy. The Friars will celebrate U.S. Navy Appreciation Day presented by USAA. In addition to the team donning their usual camouflage jerseys (as they do for every Sunday home game), the day’s events will include a special pre-game ceremony with over 100 sailors from various vessels stationed in San Diego and a pre-game helicopter fly over. There will also be Padres KidsFest in the Park-at-the-Park and a post-game fielding clinic for Compadres Kids members.

Tuesday, June 30th vs. Mariners at 7:10pm Taco Tuesday Tuesday, the Seattle Mariners will come into town to kick off a short two-game set at Petco Park. Every Tuesday at Petco Park is a Taco Tuesday presented by Cholula Hot Sauce, where fans will have a chance to enjoy $5 taco specials at select locations throughout the park.

Wednesday, July 1st vs. Mariners at 12:40pm Way Back WednesdayFinally, the Padres will close out their short five-game homestand with Way Back Wednesday and the 11th Annual Dog Days of Summer presented by Petco. Wednesday’s game will feature a pre-game dog parade on the warning track along with a Padres player signing autographs at the Park-at-the-Park between 11:00am and 11:30am.
