Six lesser heralded prospect in the Padres’ minor league system had big games with the bat Thursday night:

— Triple-A shortstop Matthew Batten (.297) was 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored for El Paso.

— Double-A center fielder Esteury Ruiz (.246) was 2-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and a run scored for San Antonio.

— Low Single-A third baseman Cole Cummings (.406) was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs for Lake Elsinore.

— And in the Arizona Complex League, three Padres had big games. Left fielder Justin Farmer (.302) was 3-for-4 with a double, a sacrifice fly, three RBIs and a run. Second baseman Nerwilian Cedeno (.283) was 3-for-5 with a double, a RBI and two runs. And shortstop Charlis Aquino (.213) was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, three RBIs and a walk.

Tacoma 10, CHIHUAHUAS 8: LF Patrick Kivlehan (.256) backed Batten with 2 doubles in 4 at-bats with 2 RBIs and a run. 1B Taylor Kohlwey (.338) was 2-for-5 with a double and a run. 2B Gosuke Katoh (.286) had a double in 3 ABs with a walk and 2 runs. 3B Pedro Florimon (.240) was 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs. CF Jose Azocar (.302) was 1-for-4 with a RBI and a stolen base. RF Brian O’Grady (.282) was 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC SUMMER LEAGUE PADRES (30–15)

SS Victor Acosta (.303), the Padres’ №14 prospect, had a solo homer in 4 at-bats. LF Jake Perez (.339) had a double in 3 ABs with a walk and a RBI. Starting RHP Adrian De Los Santos (3.12 ERA) allowed an unearned run on 2 hits and a walk with a strikeout in 2 innings.
